To whom it may concern, I've taken quite some time to read most of the posts on your website. Just wanted to discuss some viewpoints. There have been many struggles in society, wars and people who claim to have "solutions" to prevent things like war. Many times throughout history there have been groups of people with an idea of how things should be. For those people with a idealistic future in mind, there will always be a struggle. I am an American. Not liberal or conservative. I am not a member of the "Tea Party". I was raised in a Christian home, although now I do not believe in a mass organized religion, but more of a individualized walk with god. I am not a fan of Christianity forcing it's way into education, or any religion for that matter. I have retained a very neutral, open minded and tolerant position on most things. I also totally discredit all forms of news media; CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, they are all liars...that is their job. I am not your average 22 year old, in 2001 my family sponsored a entire family from the Sudan. A father, Mother, 10 year old, 4 year old, and a infant were chased out of their home town, and had to flee in the desert for 37 days. The Father's bakery was burnt to the ground. Their house and all their belongings were burnt to the ground. This was done by a group of Muslim extremists in Sudan. They were brought to America and lived in our house for 2 years, until they could stand on their own feet, and they have been living on their own for almost a decade now. The father was the only one who spoke English, the others Dinka. He told stories of horrible things. Still to this day, I do not use this as a judgement for Muslims. You are just as much my brothers, as one of my own family is. I know what a struggle is. I live a struggle every day. I understand that the struggle for Israel has been going on for ages. My struggle is different. Our great country was founded on liberty. Freedom from the British. Where each citizen has rights formed in the Constitution. I appreciate these things on a level that one should. I cannot express to you how lucky I am to live in this environment. However, most Americans have taken such things for granted. People are extremely lazy. They want everything handed to them on a silver platter. I come from a family of hard work and devotion. I have earned everything I have. For lack of a better term, most Americans want our government to "wipe their ass" for them. This makes me sick. I hate to think I am growing up in a country that in 20 years or so, will have none of the core foundation that it was built on. This is a country where illegal aliens can come in, evade taxes, get a free education, well-fare, healthcare and whatever else they need. All the while, hard working citizens can get nowhere. All the leeches sitting back collecting well-fare contribute NOTHING to this country, making it impossible for the people that actually need well-fare to receive it. Everyone seems to take advantage of this country, and the terrible string of politicians in the past 25 years has only advanced this cancer. I am a true libertarian. This is my opinion- this country has been saturated with overindulging politicians, hell bent on their own agenda. They need to be eliminated. That is the purpose of the Second Amendment of the U.S. constitution. For the people of the country to keep the ability to protect themselves from their government, and if needed to overthrow this government. The government is NOT the people. Exactly like extremists are not all Muslims. Something needs to be done. I recall the famous quotation from Patrick Henry- "GIVE ME LIBERTY, OR GIVE ME DEATH." This is my struggle. My Jihad. I would appreciate it if this is put on the site, although it is not a requirement. Most sincere, D.B.
